My initials spell LAMP, which is where la/mp comes from. I'm a UX designer based. Right now I'm a Senior Associate UX Designer at JPMorgan Chase, and I also lead design at Connecting Mothers Initiative, a nonprofit.
I started in brand and graphic design at Mielle Organics, G&S, and imre, then moved into UX. Since then I've been the only designer at a startup, led design on an enterprise product used across 200+ buildings, and designed a platform for military mothers from the research up. I have a BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design and an MS in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University.
I start with what people actually do.I watch people use the product, and I push for analytics so we can see what happens on the screen, not just what people tell us.
I tie decisions back to research.Anyone should be able to see where a change came from.
I design for the messy cases. The guest with no ID, the location that works differently, the person juggling three tasks at once. I also use AI tools like Claude and Claude Code to prototype and test ideas quickly.
When I'm not designing, I'm usually outside or making something. I play volleyball and coach a middle school skills group, I garden, and I build furniture. I'm always up for anything that gets a group of people together.
I'm looking for senior and lead UX designer roles, hybrid or remote.
